After becoming a licensed pharmacist in 2008 and qualifying as a patent attorney in 2012, Ms. Sooyoung Yoon has specialized in intellectual property matters in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and chemistry fields

Ms. Yoon’s practice focuses on domestic and foreign patent prosecution, Office Action responses, prior-art searches and patentability analyses, IP consulting, freedom-to-operate (FTO) analyses, infringement analyses, and patent dispute counseling. She provides comprehensive IP services covering the entire lifecycle of research and development, from early-stage patent strategy and portfolio development to licensing, enforcement, and dispute resolution.

In particular, drawing on her deep technical understanding of pharmaceutical inventions — including new drug compounds, medical uses, formulations, and dosage regimens — Ms. Yoon has substantial experience in small-molecule compounds, biologics, antibodies, proteins, and antibody-drug conjugates. She also handles patent matters relating to cosmetics, food, and health functional foods.
