Mr. Woosik Kim passed the Korean Patent Attorney Examination in 2004 and is currently a partner patent attorney at LEE & MOCK IP. He has extensive experience in a wide range of intellectual property matters for major Korean corporations, including patent and utility model prosecution, freedom-to-operate (FTO) and infringement analyses, prior-art searches, and patent analysis and counseling. His primary areas of expertise include electrical and electronic engineering, AI/software, semiconductors and displays, as well as healthcare and medical devices.

In particular, in connection with a Korea-based global company, Mr. Kim has handled patent matters across various cutting-edge technology fields, including healthcare devices, image and voice processing, genetic analysis algorithms, UI/UX technologies, autonomous driving algorithms, graphics processing units (GPUs), AI applications, neural network algorithms such as CNNs, and neuromorphic devices. Since 2010, he has handled numerous domestic and international patent matters across rapidly evolving, leading-edge technology sectors and industry trends, and has accumulated experience handling thousands of patent prosecutions, Office Action responses, and patent analysis matters.
In addition, for a major client, Mr. Kim has provided a broad range of practical IP consulting services beyond conventional patent drafting and Office Action responses. His work has included monitoring and database management of competitors\' patents for risk management throughout the product development and commercialization process, patent technology classification, key patent analysis, prior-art searches, validity and invalidity analyses, prior-art information submissions and opposition proceedings, technology and patent trend analysis, and patent ideation workshops. Through these activities, he has provided comprehensive IP solutions aligned with his clients\' R&D and business strategies.
