Ms. Min Hwa Eom is a partner at Lee & Mock IP. Since passing the Korean Patent Attorney Examination in 2003, she has built extensive experience across a broad range of intellectual property matters, including patent and utility model prosecution, IP trials and litigation, freedom-to-operate (FTO) analyses, infringement and validity analyses, prior-art searches, and patent portfolio strategy.

Ms. Eom has particular expertise in semiconductor design technologies, including memory, system LSI, and foundry-related technologies. She has handled numerous domestic and foreign patent applications for major Korean corporations, from filing through registration, and has substantial experience in validity and invalidity investigations, infringement analyses, and scope-of-right reviews in these technical fields.

Ms. Eom also advises mid-sized Korean companies in the home appliance technology sector, providing comprehensive IP services closely aligned with her clients’ R&D and business strategies. Her work includes invention harvesting, patenting strategies, infringement opinions regarding competitors’ patents, patent map preparation for newly developed technologies, domestic and international prior-art searches, third-party observations, invalidity searches, and representation in non-exclusive license registration matters.

With an academic background in physics and electrical engineering, Ms. Eom has a deep technical understanding of circuits, semiconductor processes, and semiconductor devices. She is particularly skilled at identifying the essential technical features and differentiating points of complex inventions and translating them into strong and commercially effective patent rights.
