He has extensive experience in a wide range of intellectual property matters for major Korean corporations, including patent and utility model prosecution, freedom-to-operate (FTO) and infringement analyses, prior-art searches, and patent analysis and counseling. His primary areas of expertise include electrical and electronic engineering, AI/software, semiconductors and displays, as well as healthcare and medical devices.

In particular, in connection with a global semiconductor company, Mr. Kim has handled patent matters across various cutting-edge technology fields, including healthcare devices, image and voice processing, genetic analysis algorithms, UI/UX technologies, autonomous driving algorithms, graphics processing units (GPUs), AI applications, and neural network algorithms such as CNNs and neuromorphic devices. In addition, for a global e-cigarette company, Mr. Kim has provided a broad range of practical IP consulting services beyond conventional patent drafting and Office Action responses.
