After passing the Korean Patent Attorney Examination in 2022, Mr. Minkyo Kim began practicing at LEE & MOCK IP in 2024, where he handles the entire spectrum of patent and utility model proceedings from initial application to registration, including domestic and international Office Action (OA) responses and registration management.

Mr. Kim primarily manages patent applications in the semiconductor field for a global semiconductor company, steering prosecution across a wide range of technologies such as semiconductor fabrication equipment, advanced packaging, memory devices, and logic devices. Furthermore, he handles numerous overseas applications and OA responses in major jurisdictions, including the US, Europe, China, Japan, and Taiwan, supporting clients in securing global intellectual property rights through close collaboration with foreign associates. Based on his academic background in Nuclear Engineering, Mr. Kim possesses a deep understanding of plasma-enhanced semiconductor fabrication processes, which provides him with a distinct advantage in effectively securing robust legal rights for core technologies. In particular, he works closely with inventors across diverse fabrication areas—including ion implantation, etching, deposition, and cleaning processes—to draft technical specifications and design patent claims that comprehensively protect key technological features.
