Ms. Ji-Hyun Lee passed the 43rd Korean Patent Bar Examination in 2007 and is a partner attorney at LEE & MOCK IP, where she focuses on trademarks, designs, and copyrights. She provides comprehensive intellectual property services ranging from domestic and international trademark filing and registration, opposition and invalidation proceedings, trademark infringement analysis, and customs recordation to copyright registration and portfolio management.
Drawing on extensive practical experience in filing and managing multinational trademarks in jurisdictions such as the United States, China, India, and the Middle East, Ms. Lee has particular strength in developing global brand protection strategies and handling international IP disputes. She maintains long-term working relationships with major multinational and domestic companies in various industries, including pharmaceuticals and medical devices, semiconductors and IT, entertainment and content, and fashion and consumer goods, and offers tailored trademark strategies that reflect the specific needs and characteristics of each sector.
Ms. Lee is highly skilled in utilizing trademark office databases in multiple jurisdictions, conducting similarity and distinctiveness analyses, and devising enforcement and defense strategies against infringement. Through effective communication with foreign associates, she delivers efficient and coordinated global IP management services. She is also actively involved in M&A projects, conducting due diligence on trademarks, designs, and copyrights, and contributing to the development of mid- to long-term IP portfolio strategies for corporate clients.

REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS
- Ms. Lee advises on domestic and international trademark searches and filing strategies, and handles trademark prosecution matters including domestic and international trademark applications, Office Action responses, oppositions, trials and cancellation actions, as well as trademark licensing and legal advisory work on domestic and cross-border trademark disputes and infringement issues. She provides strategic advice based on extensive hands-on experience managing trademark and design portfolios for major Korean conglomerates as well as numerous small and medium-sized enterprises and start-ups, and has handled a wide range of domestic and international dispute cases.
REPRESENTATIVE LITIGATION CASES
- Ms. Lee has led overseas trademark consulting and protection projects for global food and beverage companies, and has successfully provided trademark consulting, infringement response, and dispute resolution for well-known Korean furniture companies. She also manages domestic and international trademark disputes and advises on foreign trademark portfolios and protection projects for leading Korean biotech companies. She has secured favorable decisions in cases before the Supreme Courts of China and Saudi Arabia, and has served as a conciliator in mediation cases before the Intellectual Property High Court.
