After passing the Korean Patent Attorney Examination in 2020, Mr. Yeongjik Ro began practicing as a patent attorney at LEE & MOCK IP in 2022. He specializes in electrical and electronic technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), video codecs, medical devices, image processing, and business model-related inventions.

In particular, Mr. Ro has extensive experience in standard-essential patent (SEP) practice and has handled patent prosecution, claim analysis, and related matters for technologies compliant with video codec standards such as HEVC, VVC, EVC, and AVS. He is also actively involved in SEP-related work concerning the next-generation video codec standard, ECM, which is currently under development, and supports clients in seeking inclusion of their patents in standard patent pools.
In addition, he has a strong interest in emerging technologies and actively keeps abreast of rapidly evolving fields such as blockchain and AI agents.
