Ms. Nayoung Maeng majored in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and passed the Korean Patent Bar Examination in 2021. Since joining LEE & MOCK IP, she has handled a wide range of domestic and international intellectual property matters, with a focus on artificial intelligence (AI), home appliances, display devices, and software.

Ms. Maeng has developed practical experience in various technical fields, including AI and deep learning technologies such as model training, model optimization, and quantization; smart home appliance technologies such as air conditioners, heat pumps, dishwashers, robot vacuum cleaners, and refrigerators; user experience-based technologies such as UI/UX; image processing and display device technologies; and electrical/electronic and software convergence technologies, including wearable devices, automotive electronic devices, and circuit devices.

Ms. Maeng’s practice includes drafting patent specifications for domestic and foreign applications, responding to Office Actions, conducting prior-art reviews, performing patent analyses, and developing patent prosecution strategies. She provides strategic responses tailored to the examination systems and practices of major jurisdictions, including the United States, Europe, and China.

With a broad understanding of electrical and electronic technologies, Ms. Maeng is skilled at accurately identifying the core technical features of inventions and securing effective patent protection.
