Mr. Lee received a B.A. in German Language Education from Seoul National University in 1986 and an M.A. in the same field from Korea National University of Education in 1997. He received also a B.A. in Electronics from Soongsil University in 2002. Further, he obtained his Master of Laws degree(LL.M) from the Munich Intellectual Property Law Center organized by the Max Planck Institute in 2007.
He was admitted to Korean Patent Bar in 1997. Before joining this firm, he was associated with Park, Kim & Partners and Oori Patent and Law Office, and he was a partner at Tarappa Patent and Law Office. Prior to entering into the intellectual property field, he was employed by Kia Motors Company and worked as a high school teacher. He contributed as a director to the Korean Patent Attorney Association (KPAA) and the Korean Trademark and Design Association (KOTA). Also, he has been active as a board member of the AIPPI-Korea since 2012, and acts as a panel of the Korean Internet address Dispute Resolution Committee(IDRC) and a trademark policy advisor to the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) as well. Further, he has been involved in a wide range of activities on IP matters as a vice-president of the Korea Patent Attorney Association (KPAA) since March, 2018.
